It often starts with a moment. A sax solo at a wine tavern, an old song on the radio, and the wish is back. Right after that come the doubts: too late, no sheet music, no instrument. None of this holds you back. You pick up reading music while playing.

Saxophone lessons without a script
The first lesson does not start with a scale but with a question: Which song would you love to play one day?
Start right where you are
No placement test, no audition. The trial lesson shows what is already there.
Classical, jazz or pop, your favourite song sets the direction. Breathing, fingering and tone then come through the piece, not through compulsory drills.
Rhythm can be learned
Nobody is born with a sense of rhythm. Clapping, listening, counting along, and at some point it clicks. "I am not musical" has never once held up in a lesson.
Same with sheet music. You pick it up while playing, no dry theory.
No grades, just joy
Many remember music lessons from their school days. Playing in front of the class, report cards, the teacher's look. None of that exists here.
There is a song you want to play and a way to get there. How long it takes does not matter. All that counts is that the way is fun.

Three steps to your first note
The hardest step is the first one. Everything after that is easier than you think.
1. Just say hi
A "Hi, I'd like to try a lesson" is enough. Via WhatsApp, phone or the form, whichever is easier.
2. Try it for free
Pick up the loan saxophone, put the mouthpiece on, and the first note usually comes sooner than you think.
3. Keep going
Whether and how to carry on is everyone's own call. To keep going there is the 10-lesson pass or the semester package, both with flexible scheduling.

I was eight when I first held a saxophone. At a big band concert it became clear that this instrument would stay with me for life.
Later I studied saxophone teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna and graduated with distinction. I have been teaching since 2015, and today I share my enthusiasm at Musikschule am Park and independently in my own teaching studio in Hernals.
What counts in the end is that music brings joy, week after week. And this is how my students experience the lessons.
Started at over 50 and had never played before. Kerstin is patient and explains things clearly, even when you ask the same thing three times. After a few months I can already play a few songs, did not expect that. The room in Hernals is easy to get to.
Lessons are great. No fixed curriculum, you decide yourself what you want to play. You still have to practise yourself of course. Trial lesson was free, took the 10-lesson block after that.
Have been with Kerstin for over a year. Reliable, always well prepared, and she quickly notices where you are stuck. Price is very fair. Can clearly recommend her.
